TQ Farms Nig Ltd is at the forefront of agricultural innovation in Nigeria, operating a "Zero-Waste" circular economy. We are seeking an experienced and data-driven BSF Project Manager to lead our industrial-scale Black Soldier Fly (BSF) bioconversion facility.
This role is critical to our operations, as you will be responsible for converting 18 tons of daily waste (poultry manure and cassava sludge) into 3 tons of high-protein larvae to feed our 50,000+ birds. You will manage the entire lifecycle from the "Love Room" to the final protein meal production.
Fully serviced on-site accommodation is provided at our Ijebu-Isonyin farm complex.
Key Responsibilities
• Colony Management: Oversee the breeding cycle in the "Love Room," ensuring optimal temperature, humidity, and light for consistent egg production.
• Substrate Formulation: Manage the daily mixing of cassava sludge and poultry manure using the 1-ton Horizontal Mixer to ensure the correct nutritional balance for the larvae.
• Industrial Processing: Supervise the operation of specialized machinery, including the Dingcoma Linear Vibrating Screen for harvesting and the 6YL-150III Press for oil extraction.
• Waste Coordination: Work closely with the Cassava Plant and Poultry managers to ensure the seamless flow of 18 tons of daily waste into the BSF facility.
• Quality Control: Monitor larval growth rates and protein content to ensure the "BSF Meal" meets the nutritional standards required for our Broiler and Layer flocks.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train a dedicated team of staff in hygiene, feeding schedules, and harvesting techniques.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial BSF production or industrial-scale entomoculture.
• Education: Degree in Entomology, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with climate control systems, waste-shredding equipment, and automated harvesting tools.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot biological crashes (colony collapse) and mechanical failures in a high-pressure environment.
• Logistics Mindset: Capable of managing the movement of large volumes of organic material (18+ tons daily).
