Job Description
Job Summary
• The NICU Nurse provides specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically fragile newborns admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• The role involves monitoring infants’ conditions, administering medications and treatments, operating neonatal care equipment, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to premature &critically ill newborns.
• Assist in neonatal resuscitation and emergency procedures.
• Monitor &record vital signs-temperature, pulse, respiration &oxygen saturation.
• Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and treatments to neonates.
• Operate &monitor medical equipment such as incubators, ventilators and photo- therapy machines
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices in the NICU.
• Document nursing care and report changes in the infant’s condition promptly.
• Provide support &educate parents on care of newborn.
• Collaborate with neonatologists,pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

Requirements
• Registered Nurse, Midwife with a valid license.
• Neonatal or pediatric nursing experience is an advantage.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
