Job Summary
• The Store Assistant supports the daily operations of the store by receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials accurately.
• The role ensures proper stock control, cleanliness of the store, and timely availability of items to support operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming materials and supplies
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of items according to store procedures
• Support issuing materials to users based on approved requisitions
• Maintain accurate stock records manual and/or system-based
• Conduct routine stock counts and support periodic stock audits
• Keep the store clean, orderly, and safe at all times
• Report damaged, expired, or obsolete items to the Storekeeper/Supervisor
• Assist in loading and offloading materials where required
• Comply with health, safety, and company policies at all times
• Support other store-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum of B.Sc in Administrationor equivalent
• Previous experience in a store, warehouse, or inventory role is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of stock control and record-keeping
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and willingness to perform manual tasks
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail.
