Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will lead and oversee all HR operations at CSI Media, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top-tier creative and production talent.
This role requires balancing high-pressure, fast-paced hiring for live events with long-term talent development strategies. The ideal candidate understands the dynamics of event production environments and can build systems that support agility, creativity, and operational excellence.
The HR Manager will play a strategic role in aligning talent with CSI’s high-impact event goals while fostering a resilient, high-performing culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Staffing & Talent Pipeline
• Build and maintain a strong network of freelance talent, production specialists, technicians, and creative professionals
• Develop a reliable pool of on-call and project-based staff to meet fluctuating event demands.
• Forecast staffing needs based on event calendars and business growth plans.
2. Recruitment & Selection
• Lead recruitment for “event-ready” professionals with high emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability under pressure, and strong client-facing experience.
• Source and hire for key roles including:
• Event Project Managers
• Event Producers/Directors
• Creative Designers & Technicians
• Client Relationship Managers
• Implement structured interview and assessment processes tailored to the event industry.
3. Onboarding & Training
• Design and standardize onboarding procedures for full-time and contract staff.
• Develop training programs covering safety, communication protocols, equipment handling, and brand standards.
• Ensure rapid, consistent, and compliant onboarding for temporary or project-based workers.
4. Performance Management
• Implement portfolio-based and team-based performance evaluation systems.
• Develop KPIs aligned with event success, client satisfaction, collaboration, and delivery timelines
• Provide structured feedback, coaching, and development plans.
5. Employee Engagement & Retention
• Design recognition and reward programs for high-performing team members.
• Develop career growth pathways and professional development initiatives.
• Promote work-life balance strategies to mitigate burnout in high-pressure event environments.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
• Develop and document HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and contractual agreements.
• Manage payroll coordination, employee records, and benefits administration.
7. Technology & Systems
• Implement and manage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR management platforms.
• Utilize technology to efficiently manage remote, freelance, and distributed teams.
8. Culture & Organizational Development
• Foster a proactive, collaborative, and supportive company culture.
• Champion initiatives that reinforce CSI’s brand values and high-performance standards.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen internal communication and cross-functional teamwork.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-3+ years of HR experience, preferably within event production, creative agencies, or fast-paced service environments.
• Strong understanding of freelance workforce management and project-based staffing models.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to manage conflict effectively.
• Experience implementing HR systems and digital tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
