On behalf of one of its clients, Droomwork is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to lead security operations, strengthen cyber defenses, and ensure the protection of digital assets and infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a seasoned cybersecurity professional who can design security strategies, manage risks, and lead incident response efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for overseeing security architecture, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives. You will work closely with IT, DevOps, and leadership teams to develop and enforce robust security policies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise security strategies and frameworks.
• Lead incident response, investigation, and remediation efforts.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration test reviews.
• Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR) and respond to threats.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee cloud, network, and application security controls.
• Conduct security awareness training for staff.
• Perform security audits and support external audit processes.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity team members.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
• Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, endpoint security, and cloud security platforms.
• Solid understanding of network security, system hardening, and threat intelligence.
• Experience in incident response and digital forensics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead security initiatives.
