Job Description
Job Summary
• The Registered Nurse will be based at the Bode Saadu site clinic and will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services, emergency care, and health education to employees.
• The role ensures the health and wellbeing of staff in a challenging mining environment, supports occupational health requirements, and promotes a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Responsibilities:
• Provide primary healthcare, first aid, and emergency care to employees on site, including wound care and medication administration.
• Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Manage work-related injuries, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Dispense medications and provide clear instructions to employees.
• Schedule medical check-ups and follow-ups as needed.
• Supervise Nurse Aides or clinic assistants and allocate weekly tasks.
• Ensure medical protocols, dosages, and treatments are properly documented and communicated.
• Respond promptly to occupational health emergencies and report serious incidents to the Medical Officer or site management.

Occupational Health & Safety Support:
• Assist in implementing workplace health and safety programs.
• Conduct health screenings and vaccinations for staff.
• Promote health and wellness among employees, including health education and prevention programs.
• Advise management on preventive health measures and workplace safety practices.

Clinic & Inventory Management
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and ensure medical equipment is functional.
• Manage medical supplies, medications, and stock, ensuring proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for on-site medical services.
• Organize training for clinic staff on health, safety, and occupational health procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience
• B.Sc. in Nursing or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council (NNMC).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical care, occupational health, or emergency care.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Occupational Health Nursing, First Aid, CPR) are an advantage.
• Knowledge of primary healthcare, wound care, emergency response, and medication administration.
