Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Marketing associate, located in Nigeria. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, Nigeria, the marketing Associate is responsible for generating new sales leads through brand activations at events, conferences, and shopping centers.
• Owns the end-to-end event lifecycle, including concept development, planning, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation.
• Develops detailed event plans and timelines (run-of-show, vendor schedules, staffing plans) to ensure seamless execution.
• Manages external agencies teams (project-based).
• Ensures operational excellence of events budgeting at every stage, from planning to execution. Adhere to events budgets KPIs and efficiency.
• Coordinates event logistics including venue sourcing, permits, production, booth build, AV, catering, security, and transportation.
• Oversees event staffing, including promoters, brand ambassadors, and temporary staff; ensures proper briefing, training, and performance supervision.
• Ensures brand compliance and consistency across all event touchpoints, signage, collateral, and experiential elements.
• Implements lead capture processes at events (digital and offline), ensuring accurate data collection and handover to sales teams.
• Manages risk, contingency planning, and issue resolution before and during events to ensure smooth execution.
• Produces post-event reports, including budget reconciliation, lead performance, ROI analysis, and recommendations for improvement.
• Maintains an annual events calendar, aligning events activity with sales, marketing, and business development priorities.
• Manages our catalogue of merchandise, roll-ups, teardrops, brochures, leaflets etc, from planning to execution and utilizing it in-house.
• Manages 3rd parties event integrations in terms of concepts, budgeting, and brand presence. Researches and plans participation in relevant industry events to promote sales and boost brand awareness.
• Organizes and manages internal events for employees and other stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event management and brand activation roles, typically with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in end-to-end event planning and on-site execution, including large-scale brand activations and conferences.
• Strong operational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new sales leads through effective brand activations at events, conferences, and shopping centers.
• Skill in managing a team of external suppliers, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Strong networking skills to build relationships with industry contacts, event organizers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Skill in managing events agencies and other suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of services.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
