About Company: Our client is a renowned government parastatal in the Energy and Power sector, based in Abuja, Nigeria.

Job Summary: Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Research & Content Analyst who will serve as the primary content and research bridge between policy/delivery teams and the communications function, translating complex reform work into accurate, coherent, and strategically framed content that can be deployed across communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Policy-to-Content Translation:
Work directly with policy, legal, and delivery teams to understand policies, reform initiatives, programme progress, and technical developments.
Translate complex policy, legal, and technical work into clear, structured content suitable for public communication, speeches, briefs, and stakeholder materials.
Act as the first content ‘’interpreter’’ between subject-matter experts and the Communication Team.

Research & Evidence Development:
Conduct research and background analysis to support reform narratives, announcements, speeches, and strategic communications.
Develop evidence-backed briefs, fact sheets, FAQs, talking points, and explainer notes to support communications outputs.
Ensure messaging is defensible, accurate, and aligned with data, policy, and legal realities.

Strategic Content Development:
Support the development of reform narratives and thematic storyline across oil, gas, power, and clean energy.
Draft first-line content inputs for use by the Communications Team, including key messages, summaries, sector explainers, and briefing notes.
Maintain consistency of language, framing, and positioning across different reform areas.

Coordination with Communications:
Serve as the primary content interface for the Communications Team and external communications firms.
Clarify policy intent and factual context to communications teams to prevent misinterpretation or over-simplification.
Review draft communications materials for factual and policy accuracy before publication.

Requirements
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Law, Social sciences, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in research, policy analysis, or strategic content development, preferably within the Energy Sector.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Ability to simplify complex issues without distorting substance.
Comfortable working across technical, legal, and communications teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
