Job Summary
A reputable Microfinance Bank located in Maryland, Lagos is seeking to hire an experienced and highly competent Accounts & Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will oversee accounting operations, regulatory reporting, and audit coordination while ensuring full compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, IFRS standards, and other prudential guidelines.
The role requires strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial reports to management, regulators, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare and submit CBN and other regulatory returns within stipulated timelines.
• Produce management accounts and statutory financial reports for EXCO and the Board.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, CBN guidelines, and prudential requirements.
• Reconcile core banking systems with the general ledger and regulatory reports.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent) – Mandatory.
• 7–12 years’ relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting within a regulated financial institution, preferably a Microfinance Bank.
• Strong knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements and IFRS reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
