Job Summary:
Avant Tech is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant for one of our clients in the real estate industry. The ideal candidate must have experience in the real estate industry and will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws, and advising the company on tax strategies to optimize financial performance. You will also play a critical role in tax planning and compliance efforts for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze financial data to determine tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide tax planning strategies and recommendations to clients, helping them minimize tax liabilities.
• Assist with audits, handling inquiries from tax authorities and ensuring thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Contribute to the creation of policies and procedures related to tax compliance and reporting.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, Etc.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related role in the real estate industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements; proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present tax-related information.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• The ideal candidate must have worked in a real estate firm
Salary: N400,000 - 700,000
