Role Description
Field Sales / Marketing Representative (B2B, B2C & Direct Field Sales) – Eastern Nigeria
Bill Station Nigeria Ltd is recruiting Field Sales / Marketing Representatives to promote our fintech services across the Eastern region of Nigeria. This is not an office-based role; it is a fully field-based position that requires visiting businesses, markets, campuses, and communities to promote and onboard users to the Bill Station mobile app.
The role involves direct marketing, merchant onboarding, customer acquisition, and driving app downloads and transactions through both B2B (businesses and merchants) and B2C (individual users) engagement.
Candidates should be energetic, persuasive, and comfortable working in the field, meeting people daily and promoting the platform. Previous experience in sales, marketing, banking, POS services, or fintech will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
• Strong Sales and Business Relationship Management skills to drive performance and increase customer acquisition.
• Proven proficiency in Client Relations and excellent Customer Service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to deliver clear, engaging, and persuasive messaging.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets in a field sales and marketing environment.
• Knowledge of fintech services or digital platforms is an advantage.
• Proficiency in market research and analysis to identify opportunities and develop strategic plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Visit markets, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, spare parts markets, petrol stations, POS agent locations, cooperative societies, large businesses, and small businesses to introduce and promote Bill Station services.
Promote the Bill Station mobile app in universities, polytechnics, campuses, and student communities.
Engage directly with business owners, merchants, and POS operators to onboard them as Bill Station users.
Assist potential users in downloading the app, creating accounts, and completing their first transactions.
Educate users on Bill Station services including airtime purchase, data purchase, bill payments, and money transfers.
Work with our radio partners and local media campaigns to help educate the community about Bill Station and its benefits.
Distribute marketing materials and promotional items to increase awareness in assigned locations.
Provide daily activity reports, including locations visited, businesses contacted, and new user sign-ups.
Where You Will Be Working
Field representatives will operate in various locations including:
Local markets and commercial centers
Universities, polytechnics, and student campuses
Business districts and retail stores
POS agent locations
Spare parts markets and automobile hubs
Petrol stations and high-traffic commercial areas
Community gathering points and public spaces
This role requires daily movement within assigned territories to meet potential users and merchants.
Targets & Performance Expectations
Onboard at least 200 active users per month.
Generate consistent weekly app downloads through field marketing.
Encourage users to complete transactions of at least ₦1,000 or more.
Build relationships with local merchants, POS agents, and business owners.
Submit weekly performance and activity reports.
Requirements
Experience in sales, marketing, banking, POS services, or fintech is an advantage.
Strong communication, persuasion, and customer engagement skills.
Comfortable working fully in the field and interacting with people daily.
Self-motivated and capable of meeting performance targets.
Compensation
Monthly stipend + performance-based commissions
Candidates must be able to meet assigned targets.
