Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead complex software development projects from initiation to successful completion. This is a critical role within our rapidly growing technology division, requiring a blend of technical understanding, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership abilities. As a fully remote position, you will be instrumental in guiding cross-functional teams of developers, designers, and QA engineers across various locations, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive remote work environment. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support. Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project status updates to all relevant parties. Implement and refine project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban) to optimize team performance. Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the development process. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among distributed team members. Conduct project post-mortems to identify lessons learned and areas for continuous improvement. Manage vendor relationships and external dependencies as required. Qualifications:
Proven track record of successfully managing complex software development projects. Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello). Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage remote teams and foster collaboration across distances. Demonstrated experience in risk management, resource allocation, and budget control. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of relevant project management experience. Must possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
