This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of renewable energy projects. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate and lead project teams, including internal staff, consultants, and contractors. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards. Liaise with clients, investors, government bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations. Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports. Manage project financials, including budget tracking, cost control, and invoice approval. Oversee the procurement process for equipment and services. Ensure quality control and assurance throughout all project phases. Facilitate effective communication among all project participants. Contribute to business development and proposal writing efforts for new projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with a significant portion focused on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, etc.). Proven experience managing projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating successful delivery. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable. Excellent knowledge of renewable energy technologies, markets, and regulatory environments. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Primavera). Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills. Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or critical stakeholder meetings, if required, though the role is primarily remote.
This is a pivotal role for a seasoned project manager passionate about advancing renewable energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable future, all within a flexible remote work framework.
