Job Description
Our client, a renowned healthcare provider, is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Lead Pediatric Nurse to join their dedicated team. This role is essential for providing exceptional care to children and adolescents, overseeing the daily operations of the pediatric unit, and mentoring a team of nursing professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pediatric nursing, a strong understanding of child development and common pediatric illnesses, and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for administering treatments, monitoring patients' conditions, educating families about health management, and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This position involves a blend of direct patient care and supervisory duties, requiring a proactive approach to team management and quality improvement, with opportunities for remote clinical support and training development. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, managing patient records, and responding to medical emergencies. You will also be involved in supervising and training junior nurses, developing unit policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with at least 2 years in a charge nurse or leadership role. Extensive knowledge of pediatric diseases, treatments, and care protocols. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
