Job Title: Financial Accountant - Plant Accounts (Indian Expatriate)
Reports to: GM - Accounts and Finance
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities:
Oversee preparation of financial accounts, including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and monthly balance sheets, along with other accounting transactions and books of accounts at the plant.
Prepare costing reports, implement and monitor internal controls, and introduce periodic improvement measures.
Manage budgeting processes and prepare monthly MIS for reporting.
Collaborate with the Operations team to track costs, improve efficiency, and enhance overall plant profitability.
Design and implement IT systems, budgeting processes, monitoring methods, and robust internal controls.
Support and coordinate commercial and administrative activities at the plant.
Lead the monthly stock-taking exercise, compute and compile inventory data, and reconcile records for finished and semi-finished goods.
Compile and analyze monthly MIS reports, providing insights for effective decision-making.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: M.Com with a proven track record in accounts and finance.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive exposure in a manufacturing company (preferably in the textile industry), with a forward-thinking approach to accounts and finance.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems is highly preferred.
Ability to implement robust financial controls, ensure compliance, and improve cost efficiency.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
