Role OverviewThe Group Human Resources Associate will oversee and manage the end-to-end HR function for all subsidiaries under the Chapel's corporate structure—Priste, Ultra, and Sicily.
The role is responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance, strengthening performance management, and building a consistent people culture across all entities.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, discretion, and the ability to operate confidently across multiple business units in a faith-based yet performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Group HR Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement a unified HR strategy aligned with the Chapel's mission and the operational goals of Priste, Ultra, and Sicily.
Standardise HR policies, procedures, and frameworks across all subsidiaries while accommodating operational differences.
Provide strategic HR advisory support to executive leadership and subsidiary heads.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes across all subsidiaries.
Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs, succession plans, and organisational structure improvements.
Ensure recruitment and staffing decisions align with both competence and organisational values.
Performance Management & Learning
Design and manage a structured performance management system across all subsidiaries.
Drive goal setting, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for staff and leadership.
Compensation, Payroll & HR Operations
Oversee salary structures, benefits administration, and payroll coordination in collaboration with Finance.
Ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance in compensation and employee records.
Support leadership with workforce cost planning and HR budgeting insights.
Employee Relations & Culture
Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Promote a consistent, values-driven workplace culture across all subsidiaries.
Serve as a neutral and trusted point of escalation for sensitive people matters.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws and regulatory requirements across all entities.
Draft, review, and update employment contracts, HR policies, and employee handbooks.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee documentation.
Leadership Support & Change Management
Coach and support managers on people management, communication, and leadership effectiveness.
Lead HR change initiatives including restructuring, growth, and process improvements.
Prepare and present regular HR reports and insights to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years HR experience and must be available to resume immediately
Proven experience managing HR across multiple teams or subsidiaries.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws and HR best practices.
