Job Description
Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Management:
• Develop recruitment pipelines for all roles (stylists, operations managers, assistants, client experience roles, and leadership positions).
• Manage the full hiring cycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and final placement.
• Ensure all hires align with salon standards, culture, and skill requirements.
• Support workforce planning and staffing schedules in collaboration with Operations

Onboarding & Training:
• Lead structured onboarding, including policy training, salon culture integration, and system access.
• Coordinate with department leads on technical and service-standards training.
• Create and maintain development paths and learning opportunities.

Employee Relations & Culture Development:
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive salon environment based on professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.
• Serve as the first line of support for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and communication.
• Deliver feedback frameworks and culture initiatives to strengthen team performance and morale.

Performance & Compliance:
• Build and implement KPIs, performance review cycles, and growth pathways for all roles.
• Document disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety standards, leave policies, and code of conduct.

Policies, Systems & Documentation:
• Maintain updated employee files, contracts, confidentiality agreements, and licenses/certifications where applicable.
• Develop, revise, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, compensation structures, and behavior expectations.
• Support payroll administration through attendance tracking, overtime, and incentives where applicable.

Retention & Workforce Development:
• Implement employee recognition, wellness initiatives, and retention strategies tied to salon values.
• Ensure internal communication systems support transparency, consistency, and trust.
• Partner with leadership to identify talent gaps and succession plans.

Reporting:
• Provide monthly HR reports covering recruitment status, attendance, turnover, performance cycles, and workforce insights.
• Recommend staff planning strategies, training needs, and policy adjustments based on trends and feedback.

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in beauty, hospitality, retail, healthcare, or service-based environments.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, mediation, and leadership skills.
• Experience with HR systems, employee compliance, recruiting, and policy building.
• Organized, consistent, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Calm under pressure, fair in judgment, and good at managing personalities.
• Passion for beauty, wellness, or healthy hair industry (preferred but not required).
• Growth-minded and comfortable building structure as the business scales.

Remuneration: NGN 350,000 - 400,000
