Job Description
The Investment Banking Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering training programs that build the technical, analytical, and professional skills of staff working in investment banking and financial advisory roles. The trainer ensures employees understand financial modeling, valuation techniques, capital markets, deal structuring, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver training programs on investment banking concepts, including financial analysis, valuation, mergers & acquisitions, and capital raising. Conduct classroom, virtual, and workshop-based training sessions for new hires and existing employees. Design training materials such as presentations, case studies, exercises, and assessments. Train staff on financial modeling, Excel skills, and financial statement analysis. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking. Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in investment banking. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and skill gaps. Mentor trainees and provide coaching to improve technical and presentation skills. Support onboarding programs for analysts and associates. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or relevant finance certifications are an advantage. Proven experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or financial training. Strong knowledge of valuation methods, financial modeling, and capital markets. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
