Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and dedicated Accident & Emergency Nurse to provide urgent and critical nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting emergency physicians in delivering timely, safe, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Triage and assess patients presenting to the emergency unit.
• Provide immediate nursing interventions for acute and critical cases.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures and resuscitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and relatives.
Requirements
• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
• Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) license.
• Post-basic qualification in Accident & Emergency / Critical Care / Emergency Nursing
• Minimum of [5] years experience in emergency or acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick clinical decisions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
