Job Description
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping

• Accurately record and maintain financial transactions in compliance with Nigerian accounting standards (IFRS).

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable Nigerian tax regulations.

Sales Trajectory Analysis

• Develop and analyze sales forecasts and projections to inform business decisions within the Nigerian market.

• Prepare financial reports and presentations for investors and business partners, tailored to the Nigerian context.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and revenue in Nigeria.

General Account Management

• Oversee the overall financial health of the company's Nigerian operations, including cash flow management and risk assessment.

• Manage financial planning and budgeting processes for the Nigerian market.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures specific to Nigeria.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals based in Nigeria.

• Recruit, train, and develop talent within the finance department in Nigeria

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management within the Nigerian e-commerce industry.

• Strong understanding of Nigerian accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and local accounting software.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and local languages.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a Nigerian business environment.
• MBA or CPA certification. (Preferred)
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis for investors in Nigeria. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of specific financial metrics and trends within the Nigerian e-commerce market.
