The ED - Operations for Norrenberger Securities Limited NSL will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the firm, reporting to the Managing Director MD. The successful talent will be responsible for implementing company strategies into daily operations to meet the overall objectives. The role requires a talent who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The ED - Operations will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with our industry's practices, policies, and procedures.
Job Details
• Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
• Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with MD.
• Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with MD in sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets.
• Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability.
• Monitor performance with tracking software, and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Supervising the Dealing Team, Equity and Fixed Income Traders.
• Oversee sales and distribution of fund-raising mandates/transactions.
• Conduct joint calls with team, affiliates’ commercial and corporate branches with emphasis on cross selling to increase wallet share for the company and group.
• Ensure that the business complies with internal legal and risk management policies as well as industry regulations.
Requirements
• Master’s degree in business administration or any other relevant degree.
• Certified Risk Analyst CRA certification would be an added advantage.
• MUST be a Chartered Stockbroker.
• MUST be an Authorized Dealing clerk.
• Must be a SEC sponsored individual.
• Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
• Ten 10 years industry experience.
• Experienced in Equity and Fixed Income Trading.
• Working knowledge of the AFEX Commodities market
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
