Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Sales Attendant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, maintaining attractive product displays, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. The role focuses on customer engagement, product presentation, and service quality.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting pastries, cakes, desserts, and beverages.
• Provide accurate information about products, ingredients, pricing, and promotions.
• Encourage upselling and cross-selling by recommending suitable products.
• Ensure customers receive prompt, polite, and professional service at all times.
Order Coordination (Non-Cash Handling)
• Take customer orders and hand over orders to the Cashier for billing and payment.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, and service team to ensure accurate and timely order preparation.
• Ensure orders are correctly packaged and presented to customers.
Product Display & Presentation
• Ensure products are neatly arranged, properly labeled, and attractively displayed.
• Monitor product freshness and notify supervisors of low stock, damages, or expired items.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, display units, and customer-facing areas.
Operational & Hygiene Support
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
• Support opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Assist with restocking, packaging, and general floor organization.
• Report customer feedback, complaints, or operational issues to the Floor Manager or Assistant Floor Manager.
Teamwork & Compliance
• Work collaboratively with Cashiers, Floor Managers, and kitchen staff.
• Follow attendance, dress code, and conduct policies.
• Participate in trainings and daily briefings as required.
Reporting
• Reports to: Floor Manager / Assistant Floor Manager
• Direct Collaboration; Cashiers, Kitchen Staff, Other Sales Attendants
Education and Experience
• Minimum: Secondary School Certificate
• Preferred: OND or certificate in Hospitality, Retail, or Customer Service
KPI
Customer Satisfaction ≥ 90% positive feedback
Order Accuracy ≥ 98% correct order handover to cashier/kitchen
Product Display Standards -100% compliance with display guidelines
Attendance & Punctuality ≥ 95% compliance
Hygiene & SOP Compliance - 100% adherence during shifts

Pay: ₦180,000.00 - ₦200,000.00 per month
