Our client, a highly respected and nurturing early learning center, is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Lead Early Childhood Educator. This role is central to creating a stimulating, safe, and supportive environment where young children can thrive and develop essential skills. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, leading a team of educators, fostering positive relationships with children and parents, and ensuring adherence to best practices in early childhood education. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and assess a comprehensive early childhood curriculum aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of early childhood educators, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children aged (Specify Age Range, e.g., 6 months to 5 years). Plan and conduct engaging age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Observe and document children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians. Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, building strong partnerships to support children's learning journey. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. Manage classroom resources, supplies, and materials effectively. Collaborate with administrators and colleagues to develop and improve program quality. Address challenging behaviors constructively, employing positive discipline techniques. Organize and lead parent-teacher conferences and special events. Stay current with research and best practices in early childhood education through professional development. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and accreditation standards. Provide guidance and support to new or less experienced educators. Contribute to the center's overall mission and vision. Promote a positive and respectful attitude towards diversity and inclusion. Maintain accurate attendance records and other administrative duties as required. Ensure children's nutritional needs are met through appropriate snack and meal programs. Foster a love of learning and curiosity in young children. Act as a role model for both children and staff, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience working with young children in an early learning setting, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Thorough knowledge of child development theories and age-appropriate curriculum planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of child safety, health, and nutrition standards. Ability to create engaging and educational learning experiences. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Proficiency in observation and assessment techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR) are required. Must be dedicated to working at our facility in Akure, Ondo, NG .
