Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Geologist to join their exploration and mining team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your extensive expertise in geological assessment and mineral resource evaluation from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of success in geological mapping, data interpretation, resource modeling, and a deep understanding of mining operations. You will play a critical role in identifying and assessing potential mineral deposits, guiding exploration strategies, and ensuring the efficient and responsible development of mining projects.

Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed geological mapping and sampling in exploration target areas. Analyze and interpret geophysical, geochemical, and drilling data to delineate mineralized zones and estimate resource potential. Develop and refine 3D geological models and resource estimates using industry-standard software. Plan and manage exploration programs, including budgeting, drilling campaigns, and logistical coordination. Collaborate closely with mining engineers, geophysicists, and metallurgists to optimize deposit evaluation and extraction strategies. Prepare comprehensive geological reports, technical memorandums, and presentations for management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in exploration activities. Provide expert geological advice and technical support to remote field teams and project managers. Stay current with advancements in geological software, exploration techniques, and mining technologies. Contribute to the strategic planning and business development efforts related to mineral resource acquisition and evaluation. Qualifications:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related geoscience field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration and resource geology, with a focus on base metals, precious metals, or relevant commodities. Demonstrated expertise in geological mapping, structural geology, and deposit modeling. Proficiency with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Gemcom) and GIS tools. Strong understanding of geostatistics and resource estimation methodologies (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101). Proven ability to manage exploration projects and budgets effectively in a remote setting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly. Experience working with diverse datasets and integrating information from multiple sources. Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship in exploration operations.
