Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Remote Project Manager to lead software development initiatives, supporting teams that may operate with a presence near **Gombe, Gombe, NG**. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing software projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including software developers, QA testers, designers, and business analysts. Implement and manage Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for software development projects. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Manage project documentation, including requirements, user stories, and status reports. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders, including senior leadership. Ensure clear and consistent communication channels within the remote project team. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project objectives. Oversee the budget and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints. Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects. Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Manage third-party vendor relationships as needed for project delivery. Champion best practices in project management and software development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in software development environments. Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum Master certification is a plus). Demonstrated success in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience managing distributed and remote teams is essential. PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
