Our client is searching for an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Logistics to oversee complex projects in **Maiduguri, Borno, NG**. This role is critical for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, within budget, and scope. You will be responsible for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables; developing detailed project plans; managing project teams; coordinating with stakeholders; and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and implementing effective communication strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of logistics-focused projects. Defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Managing and motivating project teams, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support. Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders. Monitoring project progress, tracking key performance indicators, and reporting on project status. Managing vendor relationships and ensuring contract compliance. Conducting project post-mortems and identifying lessons learned for future projects. Adhering to established project management methodologies and best practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding environment is essential. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities are also required. PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable. A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on logistics or supply chain projects, is mandatory. You must be adept at using project management software and tools. This is an on-site position located in **Maiduguri, Borno, NG**, requiring full dedication to the operational hub.
