Develop and update course syllabi, lecture materials, and assessment tools to align with current scientific advancements and pedagogical best practices. Mentor and advise students on academic progress, research opportunities, and career paths. Supervise student research projects and theses. Conduct academic research in a specialized area of chemistry and publish findings in reputable journals. Actively participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and institutional initiatives. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the chemistry program. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field through continuous professional development and engagement with the scientific community. Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance. Engage in outreach activities to promote chemistry education within the community. Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited university. A minimum of 5 years of experience in university-level teaching and lecturing in chemistry. Demonstrated expertise in at least one major sub-discipline of chemistry. A strong record of scholarly research and publications. Excellent pedagogical skills, with the ability to engage diverse student populations. Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and virtual learning platforms for remote instruction. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team. A genuine commitment to student success and academic rigor. Experience with curriculum design and assessment methodologies is advantageous.
