Our client, a reputable educational institution in Aba, Abia, NG , is seeking dynamic and knowledgeable Adjunct Professors for their Computer Science department. This position offers a flexible, hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both on-campus instruction and remote preparation and engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, developing engaging course materials, grading assignments, and providing academic guidance to students. We are looking for individuals with a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience in computer science disciplines. Expertise in areas such as data structures, algorithms, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or cybersecurity is highly desirable. The role requires excellent teaching and communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge, and the ability to foster a stimulating learning environment. Adjunct faculty are expected to contribute to the academic community while maintaining a balance with their other professional commitments. Applicants should possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; a Ph.D. is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science as assigned. Develop and deliver engaging lectures and course content. Create and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams. Provide academic advising and support to students. Facilitate classroom discussions and encourage student participation. Maintain student records and submit grades in a timely manner. Contribute to curriculum development and course improvements. Stay current with advancements in computer science and pedagogical techniques. Participate in departmental meetings and academic events. Uphold the academic standards and mission of the institution. Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Ph.D. preferred). Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of Computer Science (e.g., AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science). Previous teaching experience at the university or college level is highly desirable. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students. Proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Flexibility to teach on-campus and engage remotely.
