Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive geological exploration strategies for new and existing prospects. Conduct detailed geological mapping, structural analysis, and lithological logging. Interpret and integrate geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing data. Construct robust 3D geological models and resource estimations. Supervise and manage field exploration teams, including geologists, technicians, and drilling crews. Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with environmental consultants and community liaisons to ensure regulatory compliance and social license to operate. Manage exploration budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Stay abreast of the latest exploration technologies, methodologies, and industry trends. Contribute to the company's strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
MSc or PhD in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on identifying and defining economic deposits. Demonstrated success in discovering mineral resources, with specific examples. Expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Vulcan). Proficiency in interpreting various exploration datasets, including geophysics and geochemistry. Strong understanding of structural geology and ore deposit formation. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in challenging field conditions and remote locations.
