The Shell East Investment Cooperative society Limited (Shell COOPEAST) is a society registered under the department of cooperatives, ministry of commerce, rivers state of Nigeria. Membership of the society is drawn from employees of shell companies in Nigeria. The shell COOPEAST is based in Port Harcourt and caters for its member’s welfare by providing the following services. Thrift and loans, housing schemes, commodity purchases, car loans, financial advisory services, etc.

Qualifications

Degree in finance or accounting. Post-graduate degree will be added advantage.

Professional qualification/membership in finance or accounting (ICAN, CFA, ACCA).

5-6 years relevant experience at least two of which must have been in a leadership/supervisory role

In-depth knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting principles and standards (IFRS, SAS, IAS etc)

Advanced knowledge and understanding of financial management

Hands-on practical experience and use of accounting packages

Strong communication skills.

Strong negotiable skills.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
