Our client, a forward-thinking accounting and advisory firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Accountant to join their fully remote team. You will play a key role in advising clients on financial best practices, optimizing their accounting workflows, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, extensive experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct), and a proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. You will also be involved in implementing and customizing cloud accounting solutions for clients, providing training, and offering ongoing support. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based software. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. Advise clients on financial management, budgeting, and forecasting. Implement and customize cloud accounting solutions for clients. Provide training and ongoing support to clients on accounting software and processes. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Liaise with auditors and tax advisors as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Extensive experience with major cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct). Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively in a remote environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
