Our client, a reputable and growing organization, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their fully remote finance department. This pivotal role will be responsible for providing critical management accounting support, driving financial insights, and contributing to strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and performance management. You will play a key role in enhancing the organization's financial acumen and operational efficiency through detailed reporting and insightful analysis.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain robust management accounting systems and processes. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various department heads. Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements. Develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making. Oversee inventory costing and valuation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support external audits. Implement and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in management accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis. Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills are essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fully remote environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in performance management and process improvement initiatives. This is a fully remote opportunity, providing excellent work flexibility.
