Our client, a rapidly growing firm in **Zaria, Kaduna, NG**, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role will be instrumental in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to strategic financial planning. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial laws. You will play a key role in month-end and year-end closing processes, developing and implementing accounting policies, and supporting audits. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying trends and providing actionable insights. Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Assist with internal and external audits. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role is based in **Zaria, Kaduna, NG**, with a hybrid work model.
