Job Description
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee high-value commercial construction projects. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending the flexibility of remote work with the necessity of on-site presence for key project milestones and team collaboration. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and procurement through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of commercial construction projects, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder relations. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Lead and motivate project teams, including site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants. Oversee the procurement process, including tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions proactively. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, documenting findings and actions. Manage project finances, including cash flow, cost control, and change order management. Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and best practices. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction sector. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management platforms. Strong understanding of contract administration and negotiation. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure. Experience with hybrid work models and effective remote team management is beneficial. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RPP) are highly desirable. This hybrid role is based in **Lokoja, Kogi, NG**, requiring regular engagement with the project site and local teams, while allowing for flexible remote workdays.
