Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized HR Assistant to join their dynamic Human Resources department in **Gombe, Gombe, NG**. This role is crucial in supporting the full spectrum of HR operations, with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for supporting people within an organization. You will work closely with the HR Manager and other team members to ensure efficient and effective HR service delivery.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule job interviews for prospective candidates. Post job openings on various platforms and track applicant progress. Conduct initial candidate screenings and reference checks. Prepare offer letters and employment contracts. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including document collection and orientation. Maintain employee records and update HR databases accurately. Assist in the administration of employee benefits and payroll processing. Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. Organize and facilitate HR-related events and training sessions. Assist in performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information. Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in an HR support role or administrative position. Strong understanding of HR principles and best practices, especially in recruitment and onboarding. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is a plus. Familiarity with Nigerian labor laws is advantageous. Must be based in or willing to relocate to **Gombe, Gombe, NG**.
